Gorent is a joint stock company that operates in the eco-friendly vehicle rental sector, performing urban hygiene services. Founded in Florence in 2002, the company has gradually expanded its range of services to include the sale of used vehicles and geo-referencing for working units.
Gorent is now the leader in the Italian industrial and ecological services support sector. With a fleet of approximately 800 units and clients including the top public and private sector service providers throughout Italy, Gorent offers customised rental solutions to meet any urban hygiene needs.
Gorent has always focussed on two main goals: client satisfaction and caring for the environment we live in. Environmental sustainability is the motto for a company that decided to strike an ideal pact with future generations, and soon became our mission: respecting the planet where we live has to be a key part of developing a business.
Gorent's environmental commitment is borne out in our actions. Our vehicles are constantly serviced and renovated, fitted with electromagnetic braking systems that reduce wear and tear on brakes and cutting dust emissions, while the vehicles only use biodegradable oil and engine grease. The results have been certified by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environmental and quality certifications.
However, Gorent wanted to do more, so we signed up to a forestation project together with AzzeroCO2 to compensate for the CO2 emissions created by our fleet.
To follow up on the project, in 2014 we obtained ISO 14067 Carbon Footprint certification, which involves the analysis, calculation and certification that we will meet the targets to be introduced in 2020.
Gorent works hard to support clients in the environmental hygiene sector because, like you, we care about the environment we work in.
Gorent adheres to Think Green, the network that promotes environmentally virtuous thoughts and behaviours on a large scale.
Today it is possible to combine industrial and financial interests
and environmental sustainability. It is crucial to search for the positive aspects,
from the financial point of view as well as from an ethical perspective.
